How to Connect to Xbox Live

One of the greatest features of the XBOX 360 is XBOX live by far. With XBOX live you can interact with people around the wrld while you play your favorite games. XBOX Live has been responsible for making the popularity of so many games increase, including SOCOM and Halo. The headset, the gameplay and the freedom give XBOX Live an advantage over every other online gaming platform. SO you’re excited to get started using XBOX Live now, but you don’t know how? Worry no more, because in this tutorial you will find out how to connect to XBOX Live and begin having the funnest gaming experience of your life!

1. First, you’ll obviously need to get connected to the Internet. If you already have access ot the internet, then of course you can skip this step.

2. You’ll want to make sure you have a direct modem connection. Connecting to XBOX Live wirelessly is not the best way to do it. A direct connection ensures more stable connection speeds and gameplay.

3. If you have a stand alone modem for you internet, then you will need to buy a router, so that your computer and your XBOX can share your internet connection. No worries, router’s can be purchased online or at your nearest department or electronics store for only about 30-50 dollars.

4. Before you can play with XBOX Live, you’ll need to get an MPN (Microsoft Passport Network) account. You already have one if you have Hotmail or MSN, simply use your email address. If not you can get one easily on your XBOX 360 dashboard.

5. Make sure no disc is in your XBOX 360 and then select “Xbox Live”. In the next screen select “Join Xbox Live.” All that is left to do now is fill in the required information and follow any necessary steps to begin gaming with XBOX Live!

Note: There have been cases of people having there XBOX Live accounts banned for misuse of terms of service, so keep this in mind when you are playing.
